This page is dedicated to those who portray what Default CrossFit is all about. It is someone who pushes hard, never gives up, and wants to accomplish something each time they set foot in the box. They may not be the first one to finish, but they always try their best. That is why we have chosen Joy Kish for the Athlete Spotlight in the month of October!

What did you do growing up that got you into trouble? Nothing~Seriously I was good! Well there was this one time that I thought I was going to jail. I was the only one sober enough to drive us home from an evening in Tijuana. I was pulled over for driving too slow. The officer had me walk the line, touch my nose, follow his finger with my eyes etc. all while my friends were passed out in the back seat. I was shaking and was sure I’d spend the night in a cold jail cell. I passed the officer’s test and went on my way, only to have a giant Owl hit my windshield a few miles down the road. It was quite the night. But I didn’t get in trouble. It’s one of those really funny stories that only become funny when looking back on 😉
